What is available

Full open-access Oryx paper acquired. Its tables, map and methods distinguish interviews, nesting surveys and fisheries bycatch surveys.

Findings and interpretation

• The synthesis describes continued turtle presence alongside threats from bycatch, historical harvesting and habitat loss.
• The 2016 nesting-beach assessment found no nests. Later surveyed beaches also had non-detections, while an opportunistic February 2022 visit documented a green-turtle nest on an unnamed offshore island. The atlas does not invent a location for that nest.
