Global Mangrove Watch v4.1.12 annual extent

What is available

All 41 annual GMW v4.1.12 classifications (1985–2025) are integrated from the JAXA regional distribution and clipped to the provider country boundary within the atlas window. Display images use 60 m Web Mercator maximum-presence resampling; a 41-band native 30 m GeoTIFF is downloadable. National accuracy-corrected estimates remain separate.

Findings and interpretation

• The provider estimates 44,305 hectares of mangroves for Cambodia in 1985 and 34,698 hectares in 2025, using its accuracy-corrected v4.1.12 series.
• Some earlier years incorporate information from neighbouring years. These national estimates are not sums of the simplified shapes displayed by MRPO.
