A regional NOAA Coral Reef Watch v3.1 snapshot dated 27 September 2026 is integrated through the public PacIOOS ERDDAP mirror: 1,486 valid sea cells with DHW, sea-surface temperature and alert codes.
Findings and interpretation
- These are approximately 5 km satellite-product cells, not coral surveys. Heat exposure does not establish observed bleaching.
- Degree Heating Weeks accumulate qualifying heat stress over the preceding 12 weeks. Missing cells are excluded, not filled with zeros. This saved snapshot does not refresh automatically.
